Our commitment to excellence and innovation in packaging solutions

Nurpet’s Story

Nurpet’s journey began at a time when the PET packaging industry in Turkey was still limited, driven by engineering expertise, a passion for manufacturing, and a strong belief in domestic production.

The company’s founder, Mustafa Arslan, was born in Istanbul on October 31, 1955. A graduate of Yıldız Technical University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Arslan began his professional career in 1984 in machine manufacturing and the plastics industry. To further deepen his technical knowledge, he received specialized training in Japan from industry experts and introduced PET bottle production technology to Turkey.

The Beginning: Domestic Machine Manufacturing

In 1996, within a partnership structure in Istanbul, Turkey’s first domestically produced PET injection blow molding machine and PET bottle blowing machine were manufactured. Fully developed as local production, these machines played a significant role in expanding plastic packaging technology across the country.

By 2004, this technical and technological expertise evolved into a new production vision focused on PET packaging manufacturing.

The Founding of Nurpet and the Start of Production

In 2004, driven by this vision, Nurpet was founded by Mustafa Arslan and his wife, engineer Nuran Arslan, and production of PET bottles and PET jars began.

Nurpet’s founding idea was shaped by the need to provide high-quality and accessible PET packaging solutions at a time when the number of PET bottle manufacturers in Turkey was extremely limited. Starting production with machinery technologies developed and mastered by the founder gave Nurpet a strong technical advantage from day one.

First Products and Transition to Mass Production

Nurpet’s first product was a 150 cc spice jar manufactured for a customer in Samsun. The product range soon expanded with oil bottles for the food industry. The company’s first customers were long-standing partners from the earlier machine manufacturing period, built on mutual trust.

Production started in a small facility with two machines and quickly transitioned into mass production, reaching approximately 7 million bottles within the first year.

Opening the Door to Export: Interpack

Nurpet’s first export was realized through business connections established at the Interpack Trade Fair. The first shipment was made to the Netherlands through a customer met at the exhibition.

After 2008, exports became one of Nurpet’s strategic growth pillars. Today, Nurpet exports to 56 countries, with approximately 40% of its total production dedicated to international markets.

Growth, Modernization, and In-House Mold Manufacturing

Over the years, Nurpet has steadily and strategically expanded its production capacity and technological infrastructure. Mold manufacturing, initially sourced externally, was fully integrated into Nurpet’s operations in 2018. This move significantly accelerated custom product development and expanded product diversity.

Nurpet Today

Nurpet operates as an integrated, multi-location manufacturer through its production facility in Manisa, showroom and office in Istanbul, and office and warehouse operations in the United States.

The Manisa facility operates on 13,000 m² of indoor production space with a skilled workforce of 130 employees, an annual production capacity exceeding 190 million units, and approximately 1,800 active products and molds. A strong machinery park and advanced automation infrastructure ensure production processes focused on efficiency, consistency, and quality.

Production is continuously monitored through quality laboratories and testing systems, with products developed in compliance with international quality and food safety standards. This commitment is certified by BRCGS and ISO 9001 quality certifications.

Aligned with the scale and opportunities of the U.S. market, Nurpet has strategically shifted its focus toward this region. Following the establishment of its U.S. office and warehouse operations, the company continues feasibility and preparation studies for building a manufacturing facility in the United States.

Why the United States?

The United States represents a strategic market with high quality standards and multi-sector demand in the packaging industry. Nurpet’s U.S. office and warehouse structure enables closer market access and faster customer service. The ongoing preparations for a U.S. manufacturing facility reflect Nurpet’s long-term commitment to building a strong and sustainable presence in this market.

Corporate Culture

One of Nurpet’s key differentiators is its people-focused culture and strong commitment to customer satisfaction. The company values collaboration and mutual support over pure competition within the industry.

Next Generation and Future Vision

Nurpet continues its journey with the active involvement of the second generation in management, preserving its strong production culture. The next generation focuses on digitalization, operational efficiency, and international growth.
